Artist Interview: Sergio – ArtistPR.com
Tell us about yourself and your music
I’m from Tavares, Florida. It’s a very small town in Central Florida that’s about a thirty minute drive from Disney World. I grew up listening to Rock music, because there were no R&B FM radio stations in the area at that time. I also as a kid around seven years old, was very inspired by the sound of the drums, being played in a Sanctified church, that was located directly behind our home! Every Sunday I would hide on side of the building, and just listen to the sound of the drums. It was an amazing sound, and it prompted me to take music class, as soon as it was available to me at school. I played on the drum line in high school, and played second chair trombone as well! It was an awesome experience, that eventually lead me to start playing electrical instruments as an adult. Music is in my blood, it does something to me, it’s a spirit that’s inside of me roaring to get out! I’ve formed and originated five different bands in the metro Atlanta area, and have played venues from Canada to Florida. I went on a North and South Eastern tour with Extreme tour last year, it was a three month tour and enjoyed every minute of it! I’ve only been recording, and doing my own music production for four years! Getting my own studio, and live sound system, has brought me to this point! It’s one of the best musical decisions I’ve ever made, it allows me to take my time and create the way that I want to!!
Talk to us more about your latest release
My latest release is called, .. “Feel Like”. I actually created this song to open a show, I wanted to have a song that was unique and epic! I’m a Contemporary Christian artist, but I seem to get booked a lot with Rappers, and Hip Hop artist, so my music is a little on the hard side!
What inspired you to write this release?
The song “Feel Like” is about how I feel about God’s love! If you’ve ever experienced it on a personal level as I have, then you know the feeling! It makes you feel like dancing, … it makes you feel like throwing your hands in the air!
Any plans to release a video?
Yes indeed, I plan on releasing a video this Summer of 2017! I’m excited about it as well, because I’ve actually never had the opportunity to be in my own video. However, I have created a couple of video’s on my own, just by using photos and clips!

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
I brand myself to stand out by creating an urban image and sound, but yet my lyrics are positive and clean. My music and image, .. is family friendly!
Who have you been listening to lately?
I really don’t spend a lot of time, listening to any specific artist. I usually listen to a Faith based radio station, that only plays positive uplifting music!
Tell us about your passions
I love to go fishing, it’s one of my most favorite things to do. There’s nothing like being out on a quite lake, enjoying the beauties of God’s creation! It doesn’t matter if I catch any fish or not, I just love the serenity of it all!
What else is happening next in your world?
I’m working on getting signed with a major record label as we speak. I am working with IAA (Industry All Access), who are the leading entertainment firm in the United States. Hopefully, ..if it is God’s will, that will happen in the very near future!
Thanks for an awesome interview, Arnold!
